Cruising with My iPhone

My iPhone suddenly says “Cellular At Sea” as the network, but I don’t know exactly what that means…I guess I should have looked into that before we left. I think I’ll only investigate if it’s an absolute emergency. I don’t plan on using my cell phone this vacation, but it would be nice to check my email from my iPhone. Oh well.

Update: It turns out that that many cruise lines use a service called “Cellular At Sea” to provide satellite-linked cellular service. Another passenger told me it costs about $0.79 per minute for data (email) and $2.50 per minute for voice, but I can’t confirm that.
